Hey hi hello it’s Friday and I’m not feeling super chatty so let’s jump into these five things!
1. Modern Home Gifts on Etsy
This shop has home/office items with super cute, colorful, and relevant designs. I want that Yikes lunch box SO. FREAKIN. BAD. They also offer personalization on all their products so these would make for some really fun gifts.
2. Kacey Musgraves’ new album, Golden Hour
I’m really not a fan of modern country music, but I love Kacey Musgraves, and this album is absolutely wonderful. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton–she’s very accessible and her music leaves you with such a sunny feeling. Space Cowboy and Slow Burn are my favorites from the new album. Definitely worth a listen, even if you’re not a country fan.
3. How 50 Female Characters Were Described in Their Screenplays
This is interesting and occasionally infuriating but mostly just a really good read if you are a fan of movies or writing and especially if you are a fan of both.
4. These mugs with Kanye West tweets on them
The only reason I haven’t bought the creative process one yet is because I’m going to Ireland in just over a week and I can’t justify spending money on anything.
5. Molly Ringwald’s essay in the New Yorker
This is so insightful and handled with great care and sensitivity. It’s a great guide to managing the way we handle problematic material from the past as we move forward into a more sensitive and inclusive future. Well done.
Wishing you all wonderful weekends. 💖
I was just reading that Molly Ringwald article! And the mugs are hilarious. 🙂
