Yesterday Camarillo Library hosted their 2nd annual Local Authors Fair, and I was lucky enough to be in attendance! It was such a fun day. I got to interact with fellow writers, sell and sign a few books, and meet some wonderful potential new readers.
I’ll admit I was nervous about the event — like most writers, I’m a bit of an introvert, and talking to strangers can be really overwhelming. But everyone was so friendly and all I had to do was talk about something I really love: my book!
I want to shout out a few of the great authors I met at the event:
Jenn Bregman, an attorney with a legal thriller novel called The Timekeepers, was at my neighboring table. She was so friendly and fun to talk to, and I’m really looking forward to diving into her book! Her website is here.
Kristen Falsey, who I unfortunately only had a minute to speak with, has written a brave and powerful book about overcoming postpartum depression. She also does public speaking and raises awareness through her Facebook page, Butterfly Wings. Here’s a link to her book on Amazon.
CJ Summerhayes writes military romance novels with strong and heroic female leads, and she hails from Southhampton, England! We got to chat about England and her grandmother, who lived in post-WWI England just like my Laura. Here is where you can find more info about her books!
I also would like to say thank you to the Camarillo Library for hosting us and to librarian Justin Formanek for organizing the event. It was a productive and positive day, and I hope to participate again next year — hopefully with a second novel!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to buy a book or say hello! I hope to present at another event soon. Wishing you all a wonderful week. 💕
