Happy Friday, y’all!
This Friday is extra special because… I’m finally going to see Hamilton tonight!!!! I fell in love with the musical in October 2015, and let me tell you, they weren’t kidding when they said Wait For It. But almost two years later it’s finally in LA and I’m going to see it with my family tonight!!! Not only that, but I’m going to Disneyland on Sunday, so this is promising to be the best weekend ever.
Here are a few things that helped me get through the week:
Based on a quote by author Charlotte Eriksson, this gifset is so quietly triumphant. The art is beautiful and the message is important. I needed it this week. Maybe you do, too.
Oh no, she’s talking about Cillian Murphy again…
Sounds from a Safe Harbour is a music festival in Cork that’s happening for its second year this weekend. Cillian Murphy, noted music lover and Cork native, has sponsored the festival since the beginning. Early this week they released a playlist that he curated in honor of the festival. There’s nothing quite like adding your favorite actor’s playlist to yours and seeing, “Some of these songs are already in your playlist. Skip duplicates?” Apparently, Cillian and I have both been playing the hell out of Bon Iver’s 22, A Million this year.
I’m honestly not just saying this because I’m a fangirl, it’s a really good playlist, and I’m wishing I was in Ireland for this festival right now.
This is what I’m currently reading, and oh my goodness, I’m overwhelmed by the detailed and creative world-building that went into this project. The author is a beloved internet friend, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their engrossing writing style and incredible imagination. Webb writes with compelling energy and has brought a diverse and interesting cast of characters to life. Click the link above to read more!
My beautiful friend Kristine just joined me here on WordPress with her lifestyle blog, Lovely Kristine. The blog lives up to its name — the design is lovely, and everything she’s posted thus far has been fantastic. She’s got a great eye for photos, a charming way with words, and a beautiful soul. Follow her!

I’m what the kids call shook.
Anyway, next time you hear from me, I’ll be a person who has seen Hamilton.
See you on the other side.
